Day 16

Day 16 - Feelings & Such
It was a pretty good day. I could have used a little more energy, to get more chores done, but at least I felt good. Just tired, but hey, it's hard to go-go-go on 500 calories, I guess.


Day 16 Diet - 500 Calories

For breakfast I got to enjoy my cup of coffee :) Told you I would!



I decided to try my hand at making hcg safe gumbo (shrimp & diced tomatoes) for lunch, and I was pretty surprised at how good it was. Tristan came in the kitchen, sniffing it out just as I was about to eat,  declaring how "gooood" it smelt. His way of saying, "I want some of that, Mama". I told him it was a little spicy, and he quickly told me, "I don't like spicy stuff", and ran off. I crumbled a toast, and sprinkled on top of the gumbo, to kind of represent "crackers", and added a tangelo  for "dessert". Really filling, and a nice change :)


Dinner was a healthier version of chicken tenders and chips. I cooked my skinless chicken tenderloins in a small skillet, with a little water to keep them moist, and added a sliced cucumber on the side for my "chips". Since I can't have ketchup, I used a little spicy brown mustard for dipping, and had some of the best strawberries I've had in a while with it. Just more proof that healthy food can taste good :) I'm quickly learning that I can eat to live, versus living to eat..


Weight loss from Day 15 = 1.4 pounds
