Day 20 - Feelings & Such
Another day of just feeling plain pissy. No fits, or crying today, thank goodness, but I definitely wasn't the best of company to be around. I'll just leave it at that.
Day 20 Diet - 500 Calories
I didn't have it before lunch, but I did end up making a small pitcher of iced green tea, and had a glass. I definitely need to work on my water ratio. I obviously like it stronger in flavor than the directions produce. I'll get back to you on that.
For lunch I had one of my favorites again, to ensure I'd atleast feel happy about something. Spicy beef & cabbage with a breadstick and side of nummy strawberries :)
I was encouraged to think outside of the box for dinner, and boy am I glad I was. I'm sure there are similar recipes out there, but I can honestly say I didn't follow one for this meal. I was thinking "chicken salad", but had no clue how I could make it like the consistency without mayo or anything that would make it taste.. good. So, I decided to gut a tomato, mix the innards {seasoned up my special way, of course} with shredded chicken, and then stuff it back in the tomato shell. I let it sit for a few hours in the fridge before I popped it in the oven with my cinnamon apples before dinner, and it was soooo good! Much, much better than I hoped for :) The apples will probably take a little tweaking, since I think they overcooked some, but the change was nice. I was full before I could finish them, and so I divied them up between the three kiddos. They absolutely loved them! I will definitely be making them for the kids, too, just because :)
