Day 12 - Feelings & Such
I have been surrounded by a huge group of support during this whole thing, and feel really blessed with all of the love and encouragement I've received with every little success I find on my scale each morning. My mom and sister both came to visit me, and we all had lunch together. Aside from really loving our time together, I did feel a bit sluggish and tired, and my cravings for anything not on the diet kicked into complete overdrive. I had to have been detoxing. By the time dinner was over, Willow had rubbed a few nerves raw with her whining, and I had the beginning of a headache. Everyone's plate of fajitas and homemade guacamole (my favorite!!) didn't help things either. I just had to go outside, and gather myself. And get away from that smell of temptation. I had a mini breakdown of sorts, but a breakdown none the less. I just hated that everyone felt bad for eating in front of me, since I don't want to be quarantined from family dinners just because I'm obviously going to want what they have. I may be fat, but I'm more of a people person than a food person hands down :)
Day 12 Diet - 500 Calories
I finally gave in and bought some shrimp to add to my list of proteins. I just couldn't handle the same three meats over and over. So I mixed it up a little by seasoning my shrimp with my favorite spices, plus some lemon juice, and sauteed them in a little bit of coconut oil. I have read, and have been told that this is okay on protocol, so I chanced it. Steamed asparagus, grissini, and a strawberry lemonade {not pictured} to finish it off. It was fantastic!!
For dinner, I decided to have a taco salad again, since my sister wanted to cook chicken fajitas for the whole family. It was nice having us all eat together, and I fit in quite well with the Mexican theme. Since my lunch was a little over 250 calories, I decided to only have 1/2 of a tangelo.
Weight loss from Day 11 = 2 pounds
