Day 18 - Feelings & Such
Thankfully, no stall again this morning :) Since we were all pretty tired from the night before, we ended up sleeping in 'til about 9:45-10:00 a.m. Which meant we had to immediately start getting ready for our out-of-town birthday party scheduled at 1:30, and of course if I hadn't kept everyone on track, we wouldn't have even made it, lol. Being an hour out of town, I just couldn't leave without eating, since I knew we'd probably be away several hours, and the hour long drive home just seems that much farther when you're starving to death. If it hadn't been for eating lunch {at the right time, this time}, I just might have given in, and tasted the Hello Kitty birthday cake. Strike that. I would have grabbed it, and ran for the hills while stuffing my face like a mad woman.
Day 18 Diet - 500 Calories
No liquid breakfast, again. Didn't have time to even stop and make a cup of coffee or glass of iced green tea :/
Since I was trying to get us on our way as quickly as possible, I did my best to make a quick meal, which meant fish or shrimp since the defrost time is almost instant. I pan cooked my fish again this time, seasoned a tad differently, but still tasty. Paired with a few Romaine lettuce leaves, grissini, and a frozen strawberry lemonade to start me well on my day. I actually ended up rolling some of the fish in the lettuce leaves, almost making a taquito of sorts. Of all the things I've tried so far, it definitely was a 6.5 on my scale, simply because I'm tired of having the same vegetables! The fish by itself was a 9.5-10 *sigh*.
Unfortunately, lunch wore off before we could get home. We were about 15 minutes out of town, and I had to remind B that I was wasting away, and asked if he could please stop poking around. I guess since he and the kids ate Sonic not too terribly long before this moment, he kinda forgot.
Once we got home though, my sweetheart did everything he could for me to make sure my prepping went as smooth and as quick as possible :) I feasted on a delicious meal of steamed cabbage & seasoned shrimp. It was yum!! A grissini and a tangerine rounded off my meal, and I once again felt like I was a part of the land of the living.
