Today was pretty awesome, actually. Got to sleep in a little, thanks to B, and I felt good all day. No detox symptoms thus far, so here's hoping I was smart to detox my liver & kidneys *before* starting the diet, and won't have them to deal with at all. Was a bit anxious of how I was going to handle going out of town, and not being able to eat out, but it went pretty smooth, thanks to saving my dinner fruit portion for later. Also, tonight was my first time to wear Bare Minerals makeup, and honestly, it didn't look as bad as I thought it would. Every time I've ever "played" around with it, I thought it just made my skin look dirty. So, I was pretty hesitant to use it for our date night out, but I'm so glad I did. Hey, if it doesn't make you look worse, then I guess it did it's job :)
Day 4 Diet - 500 Calories
For breakfast, I thought I'd step outside of my normalcy, and actually had a cup of coffee. For those who know me well, you know I don't even own a coffee pot, lol. So, thank you Folgers for making the instant stuff just for me :) I used my daily allowance of 1 tbs. of milk with it, and added 5 drops of liquid stevia. Not bad at all! Definitely better than the green tea from the day before.
Lunch was, uhh.. interesting? Actually it sucked, but I ate it. Most of it. I thought I had this great idea to bake me a nice delicious 100 gram filet of Tilapia, and make it into a salad with baby spinach leaves, oranges, and a crumbled melba toast in the place of croutons. The fish was wonderful! Flavor was perfect, and not dry one bit. The rest of it was not the easiest to eat, so it's safe to say that I won't be repeating that disaster.
Now dinner was pretty yummy. Grilled chicken tenderloins (marinated in lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic & onion powders), steamed asparagus, and grissini. Later, I proved myself to be wise by saving my fruit portion since we would be going an hour out of town for our long awaited Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. I actually snacked on them during the last portion of the show, and it most definitely hit the spot. Needless to say, I would have LOVED to have been able to gobble up the concession stands :)
Weight loss from day 3 = 2.2 pounds
